Stretavidin Magnetic Beads

Streptavidin Magnetic Beads are monodisperse magnetic microparticles functionalized with recombinant streptavidin for high-affinity capture and immobilization of biotinylated biomolecules.
Streptavidin is a tetrameric biotin-binding protein containing four high-affinity biotin-binding sites, providing exceptionally stable and specific binding with a dissociation constant (Kd) of approximately 10⁻¹⁴–10⁻¹⁵ M. The beads consist of a magnetic core and immobilized streptavidin. It provides high ligand accessibility and low nonspecific binding. Upon incubation with biotinylated targets, including proteins, antibodies, peptides, oligonucleotides, DNA, RNA, and other biotin-labeled molecules, the target is rapidly captured through the streptavidin–biotin interaction. The magnetic properties of the particles enable efficient separation and washing using an external magnetic field, eliminating the need for centrifugation or column-based purification. Streptavidin Magnetic Beads are suitable for affinity purification, immunoprecipitation, pull-down assays, protein–protein and protein–nucleic acid interaction studies, sample enrichment, cell isolation, molecular diagnostics, and automated high-throughput workflows.
